DR LOVE: How well has this issue of neoadjuvant therapy in the locally advanced setting been tested in clinical trials to this point? DR MOK: There have been trials. For the surgically resectable patient, there’s a NATCH study that looked into the neoadjuvant versus adjuvant versus surgery alone. And that showed a potential slight disease-free survival benefit. But on the Stage III data, actually there had not been too much extensive study. I think there are some switch studies that look into that, just reported early on in a couple of ASCOs before. And then there’s no official difference. But as I said, I’m actually taking this approach as a more practical approach rather than as a definitive so-called efficacy or benefit. |
