TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of breast cancer.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Appreciate the incidence and clinical implications of ESR1 mutations in endocrine-resistant metastatic breast cancer, and determine strategies to effectively identify patients harboring these abnormalities.
  • Understand the biological rationale for, mechanism of action of and pharmacological similarities and differences among available and investigational oral selective estrogen receptor degraders (SERDs).
  • Interrogate published research documenting the efficacy of available and investigational oral SERDs for ER-positive, HER2-negative, ESR1-mutated metastatic breast cancer progressing on standard endocrine therapy in combination with a CDK4/6 inhibitor, and optimally integrate these agents into patient care.
  • Evaluate available and emerging clinical trial data with oral SERDs in other populations, such as patients without ESR1 mutations or patients with ESR1 mutations detected via circulating tumor DNA during first-line treatment, and consider the potential role of SERDs in these situations.
  • Appreciate side effects associated with available and investigational oral SERDs, and use this information to develop supportive management plans for patients.
  • Assess ongoing clinical research evaluating novel applications of oral SERDs for ER-positive breast cancer, and counsel patients regarding the potential benefits of trial participation.

This program is intended for medical oncologists, breast surgeons, radiation oncologists and other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Evaluate published and emerging clinical research findings with TROP2-directed antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for HR-positive and triple-negative metastatic breast cancer (mBC), and consider the current and future role of these agents in patient care.
  • Assess the biological rationale for the evaluation of HER2-directed ADCs for patients with HER2-low and HER2-ultralow mBC, and optimally integrate FDA-approved agents into clinical algorithms.
  • Discern the side effects and toxicities associated with FDA-approved ADCs in the care of patients with mBC, and identify management and mitigation strategies.
  • Recall ongoing trials evaluating investigational ADCs or novel strategies involving approved ADCs for mBC, and appropriately counsel patients regarding enrollment.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is intended for hematologists, hematology-oncology fellows, medical oncologists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists and other healthcare professionals involved in the treatment of follicular lymphoma (FL).

PURPOSE STATEMENT
By providing information on the latest research developments in the context of expert perspectives, this NCPD activity will assist oncology nurses, nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialists with the formulation of state-of-the-art clinical management strategies to facilitate optimal care of patients with follicular lymphoma.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Analyze how age, performance status, prior therapeutic exposure and other biological and disease-related factors affect the selection and sequencing of therapy for patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) FL.
  • Develop an understanding of available clinical trial findings supporting the use of bispecific antibodies targeting CD20 and CD3 for the management of R/R FL.
  • Identify patients with R/R FL who may be candidates for chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy directed at CD19.
  • Assess recently presented clinical research findings with the use of CD19-targeted monoclonal antibodies in combination with immunomodulatory agents in the care of patients with R/R FL.
  • Evaluate published clinical research findings establishing the efficacy and safety of combined Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitor/anti-CD20 antibody therapy for patients with R/R FL.
  • Consider recommended approaches to prevent, ameliorate and manage toxicities associated with various therapies commonly used in the care of patients with R/R FL.
  • Evaluate the mechanisms of action, tolerability and efficacy of promising investigational agents, and consider the implications for clinical practice.

  • Develop an understanding of the clinical relevance of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) as a prognostic and predictive biomarker in colorectal cancer (CRC), and recognize the rationale for its use in detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) in patients with this disease.
  • Outline optimal approaches for ctDNA-based assessment of MRD, and determine the appropriate timing and platform for testing ctDNA status in patients with CRC.
  • Appreciate published datasets documenting the clinical utility of ctDNA testing in risk stratification, surveillance and therapeutic decision-making for patients with CRC, and consider the current and potential role of this strategy in personalizing treatment for localized and advanced disease.
  • Recall ongoing efforts examining ctDNA-based assays developed to assist with clinical decision-making in different CRC settings, and appropriately refer patients for study participation.

  • Evaluate recently presented clinical research findings to determine their effect on the management of localized and metastatic breast cancer (mBC).
  • Appraise published efficacy and safety data from randomized clinical trials evaluating CDK4/6 inhibitors for patients with hormone receptor (HR)-positive localized or metastatic breast cancer, and provide appropriate counsel regarding the optimal use of these agents.
  • Recognize the frequency of PIK3CA/AKT1/PTEN alterations and ESR1 mutations in patients with HR-positive, HER2-negative mBC, and employ evidence-based approaches designed to target these aberrations.
  • Evaluate published and emerging research to effectively inform the selection and sequencing of available therapeutic agents and regimens for patients with HER2-positive localized and metastatic breast cancer.
  • Discuss available research establishing the efficacy of PARP inhibitors for localized or metastatic breast cancer harboring BRCA or other homologous recombination repair pathway mutations, and identify patients for whom treatment with these agents would be appropriate.
  • Appreciate the incidence, characteristics and clinical relevance of HER2-low or HER2-ultralow mBC, and understand available research findings with HER2-directed antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for these patients.
  • Interrogate published and emerging Phase III research documenting the efficacy of TROP2-directed ADCs for patients with mBC to determine the current and potential clinical applicability of these approaches.
  • Assess the mechanisms of action of, early data with and ongoing clinical trials evaluating other novel agents and treatment strategies under development for localized and metastatic breast cancer.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for medical oncologists, hematology-oncology fellows and other healthcare providers involved in the treatment of extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinoma.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Appreciate the incidence, etiology and clinical and biological characteristics of extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinoma (EP-NEC).
  • Consider published research findings guiding the current selection and sequencing of therapy for patients with EP-NEC.
  • Appraise the scientific rationale for targeting delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3) in EP-NEC, and recognize the mechanism of action of DLL3 x CD3-targeting T-cell engagers.
  • Evaluate available research findings with DLL3 x CD3 T-cell engagers for patients with EP-NEC, and consider the potential clinical role of these agents.
  • Recognize the spectrum, frequency, and severity of adverse events associated with DLL3 x CD3 T-cell engagers, such as cytokine release syndrome, neurologic toxicity, infections and cytopenias, and appreciate strategies for prevention, amelioration and management.
  • Recall ongoing trials evaluating novel DLL3-targeted approaches for EP-NEC, and appropriately counsel patients regarding enrollment.
