TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, gynecologists and other healthcare providers involved in the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Understand available clinical research findings with PARP inhibitors as maintenance therapy after first-line platinum-based chemotherapy for patients with advanced ovarian cancer (OC), and as appropriate, provide counsel regarding personalized treatment recommendations.
- Recognize the rationale for targeting folate receptor alpha (FRα) in OC, and understand the mechanism of action of and available research findings with FRα-directed antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).
- Understand the biological justification for the evaluation of selective glucocorticoid receptor modulators in combination with chemotherapy for patients with platinum-resistant OC, and integrate this novel approach into current management algorithms.
- Appreciate available research findings with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies in combination with chemotherapy for patients with platinum-resistant OC, and consider the role of this novel therapeutic strategy in clinical practice.
- Appreciate available and emerging clinical research findings with anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies in combination with chemotherapy and as monotherapy as first-line treatment for advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer (EC), and optimally incorporate these agents into the care of patients with microsatellite instability-high/mismatch repair-deficient and microsatellite-stable/mismatch repair-proficient disease.
- Recognize the biological rationale for the evaluation of novel ADCs with various targets (eg, TROP2, CDH6, B7-H4) for patients with OC, EC and cervical cancer (CC), and consider available and emerging research findings with and the potential role of these agents.
- Describe the scientific justification for, published data with and current research studies of other novel agents and strategies for OC, EC and CC, and effectively prioritize clinical trial opportunities for eligible patients.
